PwC says 3 foreign hotel operators to enter Russian market by 2023

MOSCOW, Feb 27 (PRIME) -- Three international hotel operators can arrive on the Russian market by 2023: Jumeirah Group, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and TASIGO, PwC said in a report published on Wednesday.

According to the report, 22 foreign hotels operate on the Russian market with Accor Hotels leading with 47 hotels for 8,274 rooms. Radisson Hotel Group ranks second with 36 hotels and 9,896 rooms, and Marriott International is the third with 27 hotels and 6,072 rooms.

There are 35 domestic operators, including Azimut Hotels leads with 28 hotels, Gost Hotel Management with 27 hotels, Amaks Hotels & Resorts with 19 hotels.

International hoteliers are becoming interested in cities with population of 300,000–500,000 people, the PwC researchers said.
